Studio Policies and Procedures

 

Attendance

All dancers rely on each other to build on technique and choreography. Therefore, it is imperative that your child make a commitment to attend each class. In the event that your child needs to miss a class, please use the absence form on the website. Students can makeup class within the month of absence (recreational only). Competition teams should see student contract for details regarding makeup policy. There will be no refunds available for missed classes.

Cancellation

A written 30 day notice from the next installment payment is required in order to withdraw from a class/program.

Competitive:

Any cancellations in our Competitive program on or after November 1st will be charged a $100 costume fee per group routine.

Recreational:

In anticipation of the Spring Recital, recreational costume fees will be billed on Friday November 15th. Any cancelation in our Recreational program after January 1st is not subject to a costume fee refund or credit. Any cancelation after November 15th and before December 15th is eligible for a refund. Any cancelation after December 15th and before January 1st will receive a credit on their Momentum Dance account.

Summer Clinics 2025 and Summertime Mini Movers 2025:

Cancellations must be made, in writing, before April 11th, 2025 for a full refund. There will be a $10 per week cancellation fee. All request in writing after April 11th will receive the following; April 12th - May 31st you will receive a 50% credit. All request after June 1st will not be eligible for refund or credit.

Dress Code

Must abide by dress code to attend class. Please see dress code chart for reference.

Arrival and Dismissal

We ask all parents to understand the arrival and dismissal procedures.

General Class Policies

  • No cell phones are allowed in class.

  • No food, including gum, is allowed in the studio. Bottled water is permitted.

  • No street shoes are allowed on the dance floors.

  • Must abide by dress code to attend class.

  • Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Holidays

During public school vacation weeks (i.e. February, April), the studio will remain open. However, there will be an modified class schedule for the vacation week to include one option for your child's age group.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, location changes or studio closings will be posted on the Momentum Dance website and social media platforms. We will also email or text the contact information on file.

Lobby

Intended for parents or caregivers waiting while dancer(s) are in class. We ask that you keep noise to minimum to avoid distractions with classes and that siblings be under their supervision to ensure they are not a disruption to classes.

Office Hours

A Momentum Staff member will be available between the hours of 11am and 1pm Monday through Friday.

Student Conduct

Students will adhere to the standards set forth in the following expectations.

Tuition

Recital tickets for parents and class photos are included with your enrollment. There will be a separate costume charge for recreational classes.

Tuition is payable in 10 equal installments. A payment method, credit card or ACH, must be on file to complete registration. All tuition charges will be applied to method on file on the 1st of every month, starting on August 1st and ending May 1st. There is no change in tuition as it relates to holidays, studio closings, or missed classes. There is a $25 fee for declined payments. A discount of 5% is available for payments in full. Families that choose to use ACH for payment will receive a 2% discount on monthly tuition. Multi-class discounts are available. All payments received in full will not be eligible for refund or credit upon cancelation.

Choreography

All choreography is the exclusive intellectual property of Momentum Dance and may not be used or reproduced elsewhere without explicit permission. Usage is strictly limited to performances and activities conducted under the Momentum Dance name and brand.
